OCP strives to build a community of theater people and serve our surrounding community.
Building Community
Many of our performers are part of our shows every year, and we also welcome newcomers to the group. Our goal is to make everyone, of any age and theater experience, feel welcome and accepted in our community. We share performances from our past participants in our quarterly newsletter and encourage our followers to go and support other shows.
Serving the Community
OCP serves our surrounding community in Orange County, NC through volunteer work and participating in community events. Recent examples include:
- Partnering with Orange High School and Orange Middle School theatre departments to provide instruction on set building, lighting design, and costuming.
- Attending Last Fridays sponsored by the Hillsborough Arts Council and providing information about our organization, as well as crafts and activities for children.
- Participating in the Orange County Library Summer Reading event
- Partnering with the Orange County Historical Museum for performances
- Performing at the Eno River Farmers Market before our summer shows
